Martijn van Exel

OpenStreetMap Data Quality Expert

About Me

I have a 20 year career in the geospatial industry with engineering, data, consulting, product and leadership roles. I have been involved with the OpenStreetMap project since 2007 and know the project, the data and ecosystem inside and out. I have worked with major OSM data consumers like Meta, TomTom and Telenav to get to the bottom of complex OSM data quality questions. I have built MapRoulette, the crowdsourced tasking platform for OSM Quality Control. I have worked with mapping communities and teams on focused, deliberate map improvement projects. I have built OSM QA data pipelines at various scales.
